Scott Andrews
Founder & Lead Technician
Scott has trained at Steinway and Mason and Hamlin and is a Certified Dampp-Chaser Installer. Experienced in all aspects of tuning, repair, and restoration, Scott passed his exams to become a Registered Piano Technician of the Piano Technicians Guild in 2012. A dedicated technician with over ten years in the industry, Scott is committed to making your piano the best that it can be!
Alec Tervenski
Piano Technician
Following a rigorous apprenticeship, and having graduated from the New York School of Piano Technology, Al is pleased to be a member of the New York Piano Works team. He is an Associate Member of the Piano Technicians Guild and a Certified Dampp Chaser Installer. Al has a degree in Piano Performance from SUNY Ulster.
Christopher Chiarella
Piano Technician
Following his intensive apprenticeship with Scott in 2021, Christopher has spent the last 5 years mastering his skillset. He brings an exceptional ear and a meticulous nature to His work, both in the field and in the shop. He is an experienced installer of both PianoDisc and QRS player systems, and is a certified installer of Dampp Chaser piano humidity control systems.
Christopher has been an active member of the Connecticut chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild since 2022. He is serving as its current Vice President, having also served as Secretary. Christopher has also been previously presented with the “Memorial Scholarship Award” by his chapter for his dedicated pursuit of knowledge. Christopher received his BS from SUNY Albany where he also studied Piano Performance.
Kerri Hunter
Piano Technician
Kerri is a piano technician with a keen ear and meticulous attention to detail. With a background in education, Kerri approaches her work with a drive for knowledge and a dedication to mastering the intricacies of the craft. Her excellent communication skills mean she is not only adept at understanding the nuances of piano mechanics but also at effectively conveying this knowledge to clients. Kerri is eager to contribute to making your piano the best it can be.
